The Roommate

"Hey. I'm your roommate, Rebecca." A line we all recognize from the new 'horror movie' The Roommate. Yet it didn't live up to my expectations, or any of my friends for that matter. We expected a screaming film that keeps us on the edge of our seats, peeking through the fingers that are trying to cover our scarred eyes. Instead, we were laughing. In fact, the majority of the time, we were easily side tracked by a small comment, or a slight distraction. All of the intense scenes we recognized from the "freaky" trailers. None of it was new, even the ending was somewhat disappointing. Never, I repeat, NEVER does a really good or scary horror film end well. Yet this one does. If you're looking for a scary movie that you can sleep after, and maybe even laugh when remembering scenes, go and see this movie. Yet if you're looking for an intense movie to keep you up all night thinking and imagining, skip it. It's not worth your 8 bucks to see.
