The Devil

The Big Idea: If I had only one day left on this planet, I’d spend it watching horrors. Although "The Devil" isn't your typical horror movie, I was pulled in from the first minute…

The Breakdown: Being stuck in an elevator with the devil is just spine chilling, and that is the case for five pre-destined strangers. Directed by John Erick Dowdle (Quarantine) and produced by M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs), The Devil throws viewers into a claustrophobic nightmare. Filled with heart-pounding yet beautiful scenes, The Devil mixes death and suspense with pure spirituality.

For People Who: This is no Shining, but The Devil is perfect for those viewers who enjoy adrenaline-evoking movies that do not lead to fetal-positioned filled nights where one is left wondering what’s standing behind the closed door. I, on the other hand, absolutely adore movies that leave me sleepless and imagining horrendous scenarios. Though The Devil contained no insane asylums or bloody chases, it was very -thought provoking and satisfying for my horror-movie hunger.
